This scholarship is designed to support medical students and general surgery residents with an interest in vascular surgery by facilitating their attendance at the 2026 SVS Vascular Annual Meeting (VAM), taking place June 10-13 in Boston, Mass. The program offers a unique opportunity to explore cutting-edge advancements in vascular disease treatment and research while fostering professional growth.
Through this scholarship, participants will engage in various networking and career development opportunities, including connecting with a diverse group of peers, mentors, and vascular health professionals. The SVS is committed to fostering an inclusive environment and strongly encourages applications from individuals who bring diverse perspectives, including those from groups historically underrepresented in vascular surgery.
*Past financial awards ranged from $300 - $400. The final amount will be determined after all applications have been reviewed and will be included in the award letter to recipients. Scholarship recipients will receive a mailed check after VAM pending meeting the terms and conditions outlined below. Local scholarship recipients are not eligible to receive the financial award.
LOCAL APPLICANTS: While not eligible for the financial award, local students and residents are encouraged to apply for complimentary registration.

After the submission deadline, applications will undergo a blind review by the SVS Resident & Student Outreach Committee (RSOC). Priority consideration will be given to applicants who:
Scholarship recipients will be notified via email in early March 2026. Selected applicants must confirm their VAM attendance and reconfirm their agreement to the above terms and conditions to receive the scholarship.
IMPORTANT: Do not register and pay for VAM before receiving a decision on your scholarship application! Enough notice will be provided on the status of applications to allow non-selected applicants time to register for VAM before the early bird registration deadline.
